Guinness and Blackberry Beef Stew Recipe

Beef cooked slowly in the beer is not a novelty, but adding the fruit makes this stew more special for your taste buds. Here, we introduce a more versatile fruit, which is blackberries.
Blackberries are usually sweet, so if you use them in a tart or cook them with sugar, their taste seems sweet, but when they ferment, they give a tangy, sour taste. This type of tart sweetness is doing great work in stews and sauces, which balances the other tastes.
Don’t skip the relish, please, it’s very essential.

- Preheat your oven by setting it to 160*C or an equivalent temperature when you are using a fan/gas oven.
- Take a bowl and put the steak in the bowl, then add flour, salt, and pepper. Mix all these ingredients with your hands until the steak is coated.
- Take a generous gulg of oil and heat it into to large ovenproof casserole or saucepan.
- When the oil is hot then add the beef and fry it turning it once, until it is browned. Do this process in at least two batches. Always keep in mind to avoid overcrowding the pan because when you overcrowd the pan, the meat will brasie rather than fry and you won’t get the colour or dept the flavour which you want.
- Once you have fried all the meat then return it to the pan with other remaining ingredients.
- After that bring to a boil, then cover it with a lid and cook it for 2 to 3 hours in the oven until meat is tender and flaking.
- To make this relish, simply you can combine all ingredients in a bowl and let it sit at room temperature until you are ready to serve.
- Serve the stew with some relish on top
